Tour Details

Our fully escorted weekend motorcycle tours are aimed at those who have never ridden abroad before and for those who enjoy the slightly slower pace of life in the French region of  ‘Nord Pas de Calais’. Because we know that large groups can lead to some people feeling intimidated we limit each of our tours to a maximum of 8 motorbikes (plus the two guides)

Our journey starts Friday afternoon where your guide for the weekend will meet you at the Channel Tunnel. No need to panic as the check-in service is full automated, and if you do encounter a problem our representative will be on hand to help. Once all of the group are assembled  we shall load the bikes onto the train for the short crossing to Calais, where our experience really begins. However first things first, a petrol stop to make sure everyone is happy before heading off.

After a  short journey of approximately 25 miles along some of the more quiet roads in France, we arrive at our hotel for the weekend, Hotel St Louis.

The hotel is situated in the town of St.Omer and is popular with both the French and the British, so don’t be surprised to hear a familiar accent or two at breakfast. The hotel has a secure car-park to bring a little peace of mind as to the safety of your pride and joy,

and is within easy walk of the town square where you will  find many bars, cafes, and restaurants.

After a hearty breakfast Saturday morning we head out to spend the day on the bikes. Whether you have chosen ‘Tour A’, or  ‘Tour B’ the day is similar in the distance that you ride. Along the route we shall stop for photo opportunities as well as coffee breaks and a lunch break.

Our aim is to ride approximately 80- 100 miles arriving back at the Hotel late afternoon giving you enough time to freshen up before heading out for your evening meal.

After breakfast on the Sunday morning we head towards Boulogne for a coffee break and short stop to stretch the legs. Suitably refreshed we then take the coastal road heading towards the Channel Tunnel, stopping off to take some photos from the closest point to the UK, Cap Griz-Nez. On a good day the white cliffs of Dover are clearly visible.

All to soon we turn off the coastal road for our final stretch to the Channel Tunnel, where we shall check in and purchase those last minute duty free items. Once again we shall load the bikes onto the train ready for our short crossing home, taking time to say our goodbyes, and reminding each other that we now ride on the left.
